What was supposed to be a training aid to ease symptoms of ADHD has turned into one of the hottest toys in the United States and Australia and a real pain for teachers. Fidget spinners and cubes are making up a whopping 46 out of 50 of the top-selling toys on Amazon.
The fidget spinners are small gadgets made with metal and ball bearings that you twirl between your fingers.
Teachers in several states say they’re more of a distraction to students and staff.
They’re also being tossed around and can cause injuries. Some schools have banned fidget spinners from classrooms.
Further more, the inventor isn’t making money from this latest craze due to the patent expiring earlier in the year.
